A Good Friday in the Backyard!

Wayne and I decided to spend the day in our backyards of Pickens and Cherokee County! More specifically..Jasper and Canton, Georgia. After about an hour in Jasper the local police were called out by someone at a nearby BP gas station that we were soliciting. The police came and saw that we were not soliciting and not breaking any laws so we continued then later moved to another location in Jasper and having no issues.

Our next stop was Canton.  We went to several locations and as usual we had no issues. Thousands of cars came by Highway 20/ I-575. We were encouraged there as well by many waves etc.. One guy even brought us some bottled water.

After several hours in Canton we visited Ball Ground which has a great rush hour!  Many cars came by and we had some great conversations. Wayne was encouraged by a brother and sister in the Lord and I was able to share the gospel with two teenage boys. These boys rode up on their bikes and said, "Ready for what?" Lee and Josh were their names.  Lee attended a nearby church but didn't have a clear understanding of the Gospel or what baptism is all about. Josh didn't have much to say but still listened.  By the end of our conversation Lee understood the gospel and he also learned about baptism.  Both Lee and Josh received Gospel tracts.

Wayne and I had a great Good Friday. Pray for those who received gospel tracts and saw the crosses and thought about if they were ready for eternity. GO!
