Great Friend.... Great Memories....

How time flies....A little over a year ago I was chatting with Canyon Shearer while sitting in my kitchen in Huntington, WV.  We met through some mutual friends on Facebook.  We chatted back and forth then I decided to take a job transfer and move to Holly Springs, GA.  I was staying at my mothers house at the time while my family waited for our house to sell in WV.  During this time Canyon and I got together and did some cross walking.  I remember him pulling up in his blue Chevy Silverado ext cab truck and saying to myself.... "nice truck!" ( since I have the same one, color and everything..well except both my rear doors open :-) inside joke  )  We had a great time on the streets that day.   Since that time it has been a pleasure ministering with him on a weekly basis at KSU and other places around North Georgia..ect.  God is relocating Canyon to an Air Force Base in Panama City, FL.  He has some work for him to do there. You will be missed by our family.  Here's some of my favorite pics of great memories that will be cherished......thanks Canyon for your faithfulness to Christ!   I know that many will hear the gospel preached faithfully.  May many seeds be sown in Panama City, FL.  May you reap a harvest of souls there....most of all may God be glorified.   See you soon.

Paul Latour said…
You have every reason to be fond of the memories you had with brother Canyon, Vernon. The Lord has blessed you with the time you had with him. At least he won't be on the other side of the planet like it could have been. I'm sure Canyon will only be a skip and a jump away before you are out on the streets again.
